Investigation of the Relationship between COX-2 Expression, Clinicopathological Symptoms, and Prognosis of the Patients with Gastric Cancer

Introduction: The present study was designed to investigate the relationship between COX-2 gene expression, clinicopathological symptoms, and prognosis of patients with gastric cancer.
 Methods: cross-sectional achieve scientific aims among referred Imam Reza Hospital, Mashhad, Iran from 2008 2018. In this study, patients' demographic characteristics, clinical signs tumor findings, type surgery, expression level (using Real Time PCR technique) were recorded. data analyzed by SPSS software (version 16), statistical tests, including Chi-square, Fisher's exact, Gamma coefficient, one-way ANOVA, or Kruskal-Wallis test at a significance 0.05.
 Results: Out 110 included in 55 evaluated according criteria. Among them 21 (38.2%) had decreased levels 18 (32.7%) normal range, 16 (29.1%) increased seen. average survival months after surgery 23.41 ± 23.07 months. No statistically significant found signs, age, sex, (by month), progression, histological features, family history cancer, other cases (P> 0.05); However, considering annual classification showed (P=0.028).
 Conclusion: Despite no studied parameters cancer existence seems so important.
